YAY Healthy Food Culinary Adventures

We had a great turnout for our YAY Healthy Food Culinary Adventures class on January 10th. This class was designed especially for younger children and their parents, grandparents, or caregivers. The morning included a discussion on nutrition and many opportunities to bond over cooking healthy recipes and sampling foods from the rainbow.

Try a recipe from our YAY Healthy Food Class:
 
Greek Yogurt Fruit Dip (3 Ways!)
Prep Time: 5 mins | Cook Time: 5 mins | Difficulty: Easy
 
Ingredients:  

Chocolate ½ cup plain Greek yogurt 1.5 tablespoons honey 1 tablespoon cocoa powder ¼ teaspoon vanilla 1/16 teaspoon cinnamon or just a generous pinch  

Almond Butter ½ cup plain Greek yogurt 1.5 tablespoons honey 1 tablespoon almond butter ¼ teaspoon vanilla ⅛ teaspoon cinnamon  

Key Lime ½ cup plain Greek yogurt 1.5 tablespoons honey 2 key limes zested ¼ teaspoon vanilla  

Directions:  
Mix together ingredients- in a medium-sized bowl, stir together the fruit dip ingredients until smooth and well combined.  

Portion or serve- If you are using for meal prep, you can portion out the dip in small containers. Otherwise, serve it right away!
