Volunteers play an important role at Mountain Resource Center, and without them, our work would not be possible. We have many volunteer opportunities, ranging from in-person services to behind-the-scenes operational needs and fundraising.
Though most of our opportunities are best for individuals, we welcome volunteer groups as well. If you are interested in making a positive impact in your community, volunteering at Mountain Resource Center is a great way to do it!
Events –Each year we have several events where volunteers are needed. These volunteers can expect to help support staff in setting up, running, and breaking down for the event. These opportunities may include fundraising , outreach, and general community events.
Preschool – If you love working with children this opportunity is for you! A volunteer in this area will support teachers in implementing and executing classroom lessons and assist in classroom set-up and cleanup.
Food Share – Volunteers in this program support the operations of our Food Share Market. From drivers that get the food, to volunteers who greet clients and make sure they are registered, to support inside the Market we can find a fit! Some volunteers stock the shelves and replenish, others weigh the product and assist in check out.
Front Desk – This volunteer position is often the first impression of Mountain Resource Center. You would welcome and greet clients, answer telephone calls, schedule appointments and make reminder calls. Other clerical duties may apply.
